Barger-Compascuum ‘living’ centre, Emmen, NL
The pilot has been successfully applying best practice by encouraging community participation in the planning and management of open spaces, at peri-urban locations (villages on the outskirts of large cities). The ‘living centre’ will act as a main focal and meeting point for the village inhabitants and visitors, and will be used for all kinds of events and activities as well as a source of information.
